Originally constructed in the mid-1950s, in 2006 the Southland Park Gaming and Racing Facility was remodeled to include a casino gaming floor with 900 slot machines and 70 table game positions, event center, food venues and other associated amenities. The property also includes a greyhound track. In May of 2011, Delaware North Companies contracted with our team to develop initial conceptual design ideas for a remodeling project that will expand gaming and create a central feature bar for the gaming floor. We developed several layout options and associated concept sketches that enhance the already successful gaming venue. A high end lounge and full service bar will be added to the existing lobby and event center areas offering guests a destination to relax and enjoy a refreshment. This project also includes the addition of a high stakes slots area, remodeled casino entry and new feature porte cochere. Construction was completed in July 2012.
