The renovation and expansion of the Sun Ray Library opens the existing 1969 brutalist style architecture to the community with an expanded façade, and a biophilic design that supports 21st Century Library and Community needs.

In addition to the new and expanded quiet area and technology, the children’s and teen areas have been enhanced. The new children’s area incorporates an interactive nature inspired design. Throughout, the design adds a literacy focus, geared to different learning styles. The outdoor reading garden adds to the children’s area through integrated art, seating for story time and indigenous plants that support and attract wild life.
