Webber Park Library, located in the Camden neighborhood of Minneapolis, opened in May of 2017. This new Hennepin County facility was designed with input gathered through a successful community engagement phase. The new library features a timeless exterior that incorporates lasting materials, such as stone, zinc, and wood, inspired by the adjacent Victor Memorial Parkway and woods, with proportions that speak to the residential neighborhood. This creates a timeless aesthetic that will age gracefully over time. The careful positioning within the site allows the library to have prominence along the Parkway, an advantageous and convenient connection to the adjacent development, and a quiet respectful face towards adjacent homes. The building features an open floor plan for greater flexibility as well as large entryway canopies to better protect you from the elements. The interiors and furnishings, inspired by nature, create a flexible, lasting and contemporary environment that supports the needs of a 21st century library.
