Mounds Park Academy Makerspace

LSE Architects recently designed a new makerspace classroom for Mounds Park Academy. A makerspace is a hands-on, creative center for students to design, experiment, build, and invent as they deeply engage in art, science, engineering, and tinkering. The process for the new makerspace included modifying and converting 3 existing classrooms. The new space features movable walls, folding doors, and movable furniture, making it a creative space that can be expanded into a large group space or closed off for smaller individual spaces with ease.
