V3 Sports

The V3 Aquatics Center is being designed to be a beacon of hope as well as a focal point bridging the Northside to Downtown. Most importantly, the building will serve as a hub for the community to gather and grow together.  In September 2017, V3 Sports purchased its future site at 701 Plymouth Avenue North in Minneapolis. 2019 was a very big year for progress; V3 not only acquired a 25-yard teaching pool, it secured and purchased an Olympic-sized, 50-meter pool that was used for the 2021 U.S. Swimming Olympic Trials in Omaha, Nebraska. A number of funding variables will determine V3’s future timelines, but the goal is to break ground on part of the Center in 2021. The first phase of the project will include the 25-yard, 5-lane Myrtha teaching pool.
